BabySense V Baby Monitor Review… Buy it!

By Jacaranda On May 15, 2010 No Comments

After the highly successful blog post about baby monitor, I decided to write something more about it and this time actually endorse the best baby monitor yet.. after giving a not so bias review about it.

BabySense V baby Monitor Review… Buy it!

For a little less than $200, you are giving your baby your love, heart, or eye, or attention by using the Babysense V baby monitor. The BabySense V is a unique Baby Monitor that senses baby’s movement and breathing through the mattress during sleep. That’s how powerful and sensitive the device is at the same time!

Babysense II baby monitorThe Babysense V has all the important feature that a baby monitor should have but this one is far more advance! It monitors the baby’s movement and breathing! That is super sensitive!

It’s every parent’s worst nightmare – your baby stops breathing in the night and you don’t notice until it’s too late. The Babysense V is medically proven to help to prevent this by monitoring both your baby’s breathing and movement, and alerting you if it spots any irregularities.

It will sound a loud alarm to alert parents if baby stops breathing for more than 20 seconds or if the breathing rate drops below 10 breaths a minute. It comes with instructions that explain what you should do if the alarm sounds.

If breathing sounds are normal it displays a flashing green light to give you peace of mind.

    How Babysense V works

The operation of Babysense V is by using a large, passive sensor pads that are highly sensitive to even the slightest motion a baby makes. These Babysense V pads constantly monitor a baby’s every movement.

The motion patterns are transmitted to a compact microprocessor, the Babysense V control unit, where they trigger a flashing green light that is clearly visible from a distance. The flashing green light is the signal that all is well, providing a parent or caretaker with peace of mind. If, for whatever reason, the baby’s movement stops for 20 seconds, or slows to less than 10 movements per minute, an audible alarm will sound. On hearing this alarm, a parent or caretaker is alerted to come to the aid of the sleeping baby.

Babysense V is not a medical device. Premature and high-risk infants must be under supervision of a doctor or health professional.

    Buy Babysense V at Amazon

Amazon is by far, the most trusted e-commerce store in the internet today! Secure transaction and fast delivery is what Amazon is all about. Rest assured that you important information will be safe!

By Jacaranda On January 14, 2010 No Comments

Successful parenting, developing self-esteem, coping skills, affirmations, setting goals, friendships and relations and many more, these are the things that the book “Calm Kids” will supposedly teach its readers.

Today I bought a book called “Calm Kids” written by Shirley Lane-Smith. I probably got the old version of the book since the cover is different from the one selling in Amazon (the photo in this post). This one has close up shot of cute faces of two kids.

By Jacaranda On October 27, 2009 No Comments

Child development toys are wonderful means of attracting children to the world of learning. Toys designed especially for preschool toddlers emphasize on memory skills, patterns, and matching activities. Creative skills and artistic abilities of preschool kids are also enhanced by some of these toys. Moreover, preschool toys can be designed to cater to a kid’s imagination and interest in a specific field.

Preschool toys help toddlers get acquainted with colors, numbers, and letters. They also enhance the interactive skills in children, improve their eye-hand coordination, as well as encourage muscle and finger movements. The right kind of preschool toys encourage children to engage in basic activities like reading and writing. Playing with preschool toys can also enhance a child’s ability to communicate with the rest of his/ her play group members.

    Importance of preschool toys:

    • Preschool toys act as important accessories in the toddler’s world of imagination. They help children imagine all kinds of situations and act it out in their mind’s eye.
    • When children play with preschool toys, they learn the basic motor skills. Play also helps improve their visual and auditory senses.
    • Toddlers acquire the ability to solve problems while playing with toys.
    • Preschool toys have the ability to improve the memory and increase concentration levels in children.
    • Playing with toys makes a child more acutely aware of his/ her surroundings.
    • Preschool toys focus on improving the child’s innate cognitive abilities.

Preschool age is the time when children start interacting with their surroundings and gain valuable knowledge in the process. The stage is marked by a dominant urge to explore and learn. Preschool toys are vital tools in inculcating this sense of exploration and learning. These educational toys aim at developing essential social and personal skills that eventually help in the overall development of children.

Ideal Weight and Height of a Toddler

By Jacaranda On April 4, 2009 1 Comment

We all know that a child or a baby’s average height and weight is proportional to his age.  Generally, a doctor or a Pediatrician, during your child’s regular checkup, will figure out whether a child’s height and weight measurements are ideal for his or her age. This is one way for the doctor to know if a child/baby is healthy or not.

    Weight and Height Chart

Below is a graphical chart for us parents to know if our toddler or children is in the bracket of ideal height and weight. Of course you still should visit your Pediatrician for your child’s regular checkup.

The Pediatriacian knows about what is an ideal height for a child’s age.. that goes the same for the weight.  But how can ordinary parent like ourselves know if our child/baby has the idea average weight and height?  The first thing that pops to mind is a weight and height chart.

Here’s a simple Height versus Weight versus Age chart or table that can serve as our reference… Click image for larger view.
