How To Get Pregnant

By Jacaranda On March 11, 2010 No Comments

Many couples are asking ‘how to get pregnant?’ Although this question may seem so easy to answer and every one knows how to get pregnant, or how to make baby for that matter, but still many couples are having a hard time conceiving their first baby.

This is sad.

As a parent, I am very fortunate to know the joy of knowing that there are little people that came from you. It’s hard to explain the feeling that these little men (that’s in my case, I have 2 boys) will soon become their own individual self and will become part of the social community.

I am very thankful that God blessed us with these two wonderful boys. And now I pray for those want to be parents for them to have their own child. Because having them truly is fulfilling.

Are you struggling to get pregnant? Are you frustrated, or feeling angry for not being able to conceive despite all your efforts ? If you answered yes, then let me tell you that I know exactly how you feel, because I personally had gone through the same experience years ago. I have battled with my so called infertility for more than a decade until I have finally found a cure, got pregnant twice and now am a proud mother of two beautiful healthy children.

That is a quote that I took from someone who is selling an electronic book that promises couples that they will become pregnant. I cannot contest and say that this is true but I still want to share it to you in case you’re interested. Check out her book on “How To Get Pregnant”.

My name is Lisa Olson and over the past 14 years, through a long process of trial, error and experimentation, I have developed a sure-fire, 100% guaranteed, clinically researched system that is backed by 60,000+ hours of nutritional expertise and Chinese medicine research for getting pregnant quickly and naturally. This is a very rare, highly unique and potently powerful Infertility healing system, which very few women even know exists…

How To Get Pregnant?

Most couples think they know how to get pregnant. Well, speaking for myself, I thought it was easy. But like I said before not all couples will meet this challenge with success. Infertility not that uncommon and we have statistics to prove that infertility affects one in every six couples. The information on this post will try to help infertile couples become pregnant quickly and naturally.

  • Start taking folic acid now. You reduce your chances of giving birth to a baby with a neural tube defect (for example, anencephaly or spina bifida) by 50% to 70% if you start taking at least 0.4 mg of folic acid each day two to three months before you start trying to conceive.
  • Make love often during your fertile period (the five days leading up to ovulation). If you’ve got the stamina to make love at least every 48 hours, you will ensure that there’s a fresh shipment of sperm waiting in the fallopian tube at any given time. Of course, you can get too much of a good thing if your partner has a low sperm count, so if you’re aware of a pre-existing fertility problem, you’ll want to talk this issue over with your fertility specialist.

Baby Shower Ideas – Games, Invitations and Resources

By Jacaranda On January 12, 2010 No Comments

A baby shower is a gathering of women with a expected mother-to-be, or Traditionally, a baby shower is held only for the mother-to-be, and only women attend. The original intent was for women to share wisdom and lessons on the art of becoming a mother.
Here are the most common things that the participants in a baby shower is looking for:

1. baby shower games
2. baby games
3. shower invitations
4. invitations
5. baby shower invitations
6. baby invitations
7. baby shower ideas
8. shower favors
10. baby shower favors

And here is a list of some traditional activities that are being done in a baby shower:

Some classic activities at baby showers include:

* Baby shower bingo.
* Guess the birth date.
* Guess the expectant mother’s girth: guests cut pieces of ribbon, yarn, or toilet paper to a length they believe matches the mother-to-be’s tummy circumference. Another similar game is tying a string around her abdomen, and if it breaks for one person, it’s expected she or he is the next new parent.
* Guess the baby food flavour: guests have to taste-test several flavours of baby food and try to identify them.
* Other games include a diaper, with candies or chocolates, throw game.
* Opening the gifts in front of the guests.
* Serving cake, though any type of food or beverage might be served.
* Pass the package
* Sharing 3D ultrasound pictures of their unborn baby: to “include the baby” in the baby shower.

From Sweet Toddlers to Aggressive Boys

By Jacaranda On August 20, 2009 No Comments

That’s right. I now have a 3 year old toddler who is very active. Active or Aggressive? That’s what I notice lately. He’s more of like aggressive now compared last year. This is more evident when he and his little, 1 year old brother are playing.

CRASH! Boom! BAM!!! “You’re dead!”

I ran across an article from the famous children website that I want to share with you here.

In their fantasy play, boys turn sticks into guns, balloons into bombs, and pencils into swords. They kill, die and get reborn in a matter of seconds, then hop right up to play some more. This is a typical game play for an active toddler, active young boy. And yet many parents worry including myself, wondering if their sons are simply normal, active boys, or turning into potentially violent men.

Couvades Syndrome :: Pregnant Fathers?

By Jacaranda On March 19, 2009 No Comments

Couvade syndrome is a medical/mental condition which “involves a father experiencing some of the behavior of his wife at near the time of childbirth, including her birth pains, postpartum seclusion, food restrictions, and sex taboos”

Everything-Daddy says that these concition really do happens and that the symptons of being pregnant really do experiences by the fathers… they sometimes call it sympathy pains.

To name a few, these are morning sickness, sore back, swelling limbs, contractions and more.

As to why these phenomenon is happening, no one knows. There are sayings and theories that these are sympathetic in nature (hence the term “sympathetic pregnancy”) or could have been brought in by stress. What ever the reason may be, it is completely psychological.

One thing to note though, this is not new stuff. Medical writings dates back to 400 ago proves that this has been experienced by fathers. In some country Couvades Syndrome is widely accepted and most of the time, is already part of their social culture.
