We all know that a child or a baby’s average height and weight is proportional to his age. Generally, a doctor or a Pediatrician, during your child’s regular checkup, will figure out whether a child’s height and weight measurements are ideal for his or her age. This is one way for the doctor to know if a child/baby is healthy or not.
Weight and Height Chart
Below is a graphical chart for us parents to know if our toddler or children is in the bracket of ideal height and weight. Of course you still should visit your Pediatrician for your child’s regular checkup.
The Pediatriacian knows about what is an ideal height for a child’s age.. that goes the same for the weight. But how can ordinary parent like ourselves know if our child/baby has the idea average weight and height? The first thing that pops to mind is a weight and height chart.
Here’s a simple Height versus Weight versus Age chart or table that can serve as our reference… Click image for larger view.

As you can see, the image consists of two graph showing a certain “Vincent Stephen”’s height and weight graph. In the foreground image you can see the Weight Chart – it’s age, versus weight. I assume that the purple colored chart or the numbers inside those purple are the ideal weight for a particular age of the baby.
Example, if you have a 20 month old baby, the ideal weight would be 26 pounds or 12 kilograms.
The image or chart at the background shows the ideal height of a child in any given age.
This height and weight chart is a very good tool in monitoring your child’s health in terms of proper height and weight.
